Thanks!
Thank you so much for all the well wishes regarding Savannah's surgery! We really appreciate it. I know that I am a paranoid mom to worry when she is having such a simple surgery. Many of you who commented have been through so much worse with your kids. Thanks for the support! The surgery went really well. The surgeon said that in her right eye, the tear duct was completely closed off because it was so narrow. With a balloon he was able to expand it. There is a chance she may need to go in again to have a stent placed if there continues to be a problem. We hope not! She is really doing so much better already. I am glad we decided to have this done, the surgeon said there was no way it would repair on its own. I am glad that it is all over now! Thanks again!

Surgery
Savannah has had a plugged tear duct since she was 5 weeks old. It is constantly sealed shut in the morning, has tearing and is red. We saw the ophthalmologist on Friday and he said she needs to have surgery on it. With it being this severe, and her being one, the chances are really slim that she will outgrow this. I was just surprised they could get her into surgery so soon! She will have the procedure done on Thursday. I am a little nervous because she has to be "put under" for it, but it is a simple surgery and will only last approximately 15 minutes. Being at Primary's I was just so grateful that this is the surgery she will be getting. Things could be so much worse. Wish us luck!

Utah Victory parade
Here we are at the Utah Victory Parade. What an AMAZING season and such a fun year to be a season ticket holder! Too bad we couldn't make it to the sugar bowl! We bundled the kids up and went to the parade, the kids had a blast seeing the band and players go by. Emily had fun giving them all "high fives". I think Brett's favorite part was riding Trax to Washington Square for the rally. It was such a fun way to finish off a spectacular year. And there were tons of people there to show support! The place was packed with fans!

Book Club
We are looking to expand our book club!!! We meet the first Wednesday of every month. We have a dinner first and then discuss the book. It has been so much fun because we can try out new recipes and also share our favorite books! Not everyone knows eachother and it has been fun to meet new friends. If you want to see some of the books we have read look at my list of recently read books on my side bar or check out our book club blog under my list of blogs. If you want to join leave me a comment, an e-mail or let me know in person! Hope some of you can!

Savannah's Birthday party
We had a party for Savannah yesterday. Thank you to our families for coming out for it, we really appreciate you being there for her first birthday! Mike made Savannah's cake, and it was amazing as usual and so cute! Mike calls her "Tweetie Pie" so he made a Tweetie bird cake. All the little yellow sprinkles are actually in the shape of Tweetie Bird. Amazing what you can find on-line! It was a fun party, and Savannah got a ton of help from her siblings and cousins when it came to unwrapping gifts and blowing out the Birthday candle.
Such a cute and yummy cake! It was a homemade lemon cake with lemon frosting......yum!
Opening presents. One of her favorite things to do is to play with our keys, so Mike made her a key chain of her very own. It has all sorts of fun things on it to play with! Including a Tweetie bird, and key rings that say "spoiled" and "Diva".

Savannah is 1
Here is Savannah today ~ so big!!!
And here are some pictures of Savannah a year ago.
Today my little girl turned one! I know it sounds so cliche, but truly it feels like she was just born and entered into our family, I have a hard time believing it has already been a year! Savannah has been such a blessing in our lives. Her sweet little smile, cute laugh and easy going temperament have all of us wrapped around her little finger. She does have a stubborn streak when she gets mad, and can definitely hold her own when it comes to competing for attention with her siblings. She now has two teeth on the bottom, and is mastering skills like standing up. She walks around with the help of a hand or furniture and will be taking her first steps any day. She can say the words, mama, dada, and cracker! We love her so much! Have a great day little Banna boo, or Daddy would say, "my little Tweetie Pie!"
