Last month Savannah started taking off her diaper and telling me "no, no". I thought she was still a little bit young to try potty training, but figured since she was interested we might as well give it a shot! We bought some cute Dora underwear and it has been smooth sailing since. She only had a couple of accidents and has done great! She loves to have all her baby dolls go before she does, and I thought this was such a cute picture. She has such a stubborn little personality, it doesn't surprise me that potty training was so easy. When she sets her mind on something she does it, in her own way and time. I am so excited, it will be nice to have a short little break before we are changing diapers again come July. Good job Savannah!

Valentine Fun
It wouldn't be Valentine's without some yummy sugar cookies! Every year we make, decorate and then leave them on friends and families door steps and Run! The kids have such a fun time doing it.
Brett loved to use the sprinkles and fill up every last possible space with the conversation hearts.
Mike was helping Savannah when she grabbed the sprinkles and dumped the whole container on this cookie!
She was pretty impressed with herself. Mike took the kids to a U of U basketball game the night before, that is why they still have their stickers on!
I was so spoiled for Valentines this year. Mike surprised me throughout the month on five different occasions. He said one was for me and the other four in honor of our four sweet kids. It was so fun not knowing when the next surprise would come. This was the first one, I came home from work at 11:30 at night to find music playing, yummy chocolates and a new maternity shirt with a card. After 3 other pregnancies my maternity shirts are getting pretty old and I loved that he picked out four new ones for me! He surprised me by having gifts left in the car, the bedroom, the downstairs bathroom and the garage. Always when I least expected it. The kids had fun too, seeing what was going to happen next. The sweet cards and thoughtfulness with cute pics of the kids in each card brought tears to my eyes. Thanks Mike, I love you so much. I know I haven't been the easiest to live with lately with the nausea, lack of house work and pregnancy hormones, and I appreciate all you do so much! Love you!

Emily was so excited for Valentines and to make a box for the big day at school. It turned out so cute with Mike's help.
I love that Mike is willing to do these kinds of things, he and Em had fun decorating the box. He used two sample box from work, put them together and then they cut the hearts off of old sample boxes. Nice to have a box salesman for a husband!

Baby number 4 is.......
A Boy! We are so excited! We started out this pregnancy not wanting to find out what the sex was. We didn't know with Savannah and it was so much fun and exciting to find out at the birth. But, we couldn't wait. For one thing, Brett really wants a brother and we thought it would be good to prepare him for a sister if it was a girl. Anytime you find out is fun and we look forward to meeting our new little guy in July.
We told the kids what their new sibling was going to be by getting some yummy Cutlers cookies with "It's a Boy!" written on them. Mike told them to close their eyes, handed them a cookie and then said, "open!" Right away they both yelled "A Boy!" The blue color must have tipped them off. Brett was so excited and Em was a bit disappointed initially. She wanted another sister. That way, the girls would win in our family. 4 girls to 2 boys, now it would be tied. She is so competitive!
Savannah had no idea what to make of it but refused to pose for a picture with the cookie. Only with Daddy holding her would she glance up at me.

We are excited, and I know most of you have already heard the news on facebook, but I had to blog about it too.
