Mike's Birthday

April 7th was Mike's Birthday. I have been wanting to try and make Orange rolls from scratch and I figured that his Birthday was the perfect day. They turned out pretty good!

Mike was able to take the day off of work, and it was so much fun to spend time together as a family on his Birthday! While Liam took a nap the kids had movie time with Dad. They watched High School Musical 3. I thought it was so cute that Mike picked that movie to watch with them since they love it so much. And of course, when you watch a movie you have to eat popcorn! :)

When Liam woke up we all piled into the car and headed for Leatherby's. We haven't been there for a few years and it was a lot of fun. There was a jukebox, and my favorite part was watching the kids get so excited when Mike put money in and chose some songs. They were so cute to watch dancing all around.

Yummy! Dig in!

Here is a picture of our gigantic sundae! It is called a Grandma Gracie's sundae. It has Peppermint and Swiss Milk Chocolate Ice cream with fudge, almonds and even a cherry on top! We loved eating it and took quite a bit home with us. Even Liam ate his first bites of ice cream and loved it. That night Mike and I went out. We went a saw a movie, Adjustment Bureau (it was really good) and then went to dinner at Thiaphoon, it is a delicious restaurant at the Gateway. We had such a fun night.

I really am so grateful for Mike, he is such a wonderful husband and father. With all the fun things we did, my favorite part was seeing him open all the presents that the kids made him. Brett made him a paper snake and some drawings, Emily made him a TON of cards and pictures. Even Savannah asked for a paper so she could make a drawing for Mike. When she finished she said, "Daddy is so handsome, I love him so much....in the name of Jesus Christ Amen." Lol, she is so adorable. Mike was so excited about every single picture the kids made and commented on all of them and thanked them. I loved watching the whole thing, they sure do love their daddy. Happy Birthday Mike, we love you!
