BEAR LAKE

We went to Bear Lake with Mike's family in August, and had a great time!
The swings at the park are always a big hit.
My little girl is growing up way to fast, isn't she beautiful?
Mike had a good time throwing the football back and forth with his nephews.
We walked down to the Lake from the Park.  We didn't spend much time at the Lake this time around, since it was still pretty low there was a ton of mud.
We found an amazing place though that I am certain we will be going to again and again in the future.  Bloomington Lake.  It was absolutely amazing.  Gorgeous hike, beautiful Lake and a ton of fun.
Here we are about to start at the trail head.
It was only a mile hike, the scenery was beautiful and we passed two glacier lakes on the way to Bloomington Lake.

I loved all the beautiful wildflowers.
Bloomington Lake is a glacier Lake and even in the middle of August, it was FREEZING!  At one end of the lake is a giant tree that has a huge rope swing attached to it.  There were a ton of people there swinging from the rope and landing in the freezing water.  This did not sound at all appealing to me.  Mike, Emily and Brett however, gave it a shot.
They did amazing!  I am so impressed by their bravery :)  I loved watching them swing out, let go and swim back.
Just because he is so adorable :)
One crazy thing was all the cows we saw, yep you heard me.  Cows.
And more cows.  It was a great trip, look forward to next year!

More Fishing

We went camping for a couple of days to Mirror Lake.  Here we are fishing!
I can't remember how many fish Emily and Brett caught and released, but it was a lot!

Savannah and Liam ran around having fun.
I must have been trying to get a snag released or something because I didn't fish.  I was having too much fun chasing Savannah and Liam.
Sam and Jen came up with the kids and fished for a bit as well.
Mirror Lake is one of my absolute favorite places to camp and fish.  Isn't it beautiful?  Has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Swimming Lessons

For two weeks in July the kids took swimming lessons, makes me miss summer already!  Brett and Emily were in the same class and it was a lot of fun to see them swim more and more every day.

Brett was scared to death to jump off the diving board but by the end he was a pro.
Emily did great too.  Here I am trying to save Liam from killing himself.  While the kids learned how to swim, Liam attempted to find new ways to escape me so he could jump in.  It was a crazy two weeks!
This is what Savannah did for two weeks.......needless to say she was not impressed with the idea of swimming.
We caught some smiles, hopefully next year will be easier!

Mill Hollow

We went camping with my family in July to Mill Hollow.  The weather had been perfect every weekend, and of course it decided to pour and pour while we were on our camping trip.  We still had some fun though!  We would go fishing or kayaking every moment we got before it would inevitably start pouring again.
The hammock was a big hit.
As was the fire.  I think Brett was pretty happy that it was chilly, that justified having a fire going longer throughout the day.
I love seeing babies cuddled up and sleeping in a tent, but I think Liam has outgrown his playpen!
We all loved kayaking, so glad my Mom and Dad bought kayaks years ago, we have had so many fun memories with them!

We caught a ton of fish!  I think the cloudy skies and chilly temps made for better fishing.

Such a fun trip.  Love Mill Hollow and my family, glad we could spend some time with them.

Happy 2nd Birthday Liam!

My little guy turned two on July 1st.  Liam doesn't talk much, but one thing he can say is "Choo Choo".  Mike made him an amazing cake and Liam loved the candy train.

Here he is with his cake, he was so excited and loved being the center of attention.
He kept pointing at everything on the cake, he even sampled a few of the train cars.
We had a pinata that broke after just a couple of hits, lol.  Liam had  blast though trying to smack it.
Since he is a July Birthday Boy what cake is complete without a few sparklers?  At first he was a bit concerned but loved blowing them out.  Not sure if he blew them out or spit them out, hahaha.  The cake was delicious, even with the saliva ;).  My baby is getting so big, Happy Birthday Buddy.  Love you.
