Mike

Tonight I am missing Mike. He is on a business trip and I won't see him until tomorrow night. I decided to look back on some old pictures and reminisce. I don't think I tell him often enough how grateful I am to have him in my life. Here are some pictures that express why I love him so much.

I love the song that I put on our blog and I love the memory of the two of us hiking around Silver Lake when we were dating. I think this song puts into words exactly how I felt that day. I love that this is "our song".

I love that he loves cats. He loves to talk goofy to them and call them silly little names. He also loves to scare them to death by sneaking up on them, lol. Here he is with Pippin, Abby passed away last year. I love that he cried with me and the kids when she did.

I love that he makes the kids Birthday parties so much fun, I love that he looks sexy as a pirate :)

I love that he loves all of Gods amazing creations, one of them being the mountains. I love that he will take deep breaths while closing his eyes and takes every moment in. I love that he wants to spend time with us enjoying the many beauties this world has to offer.
I love that he is a die hard Utah Fan. I love that he wants to share this with the kids. He loves going to games with them. Even though it can't always be easy with the many potty breaks, snack breaks and endless talking. I love that he wouldn't want it any other way.

I love that he makes Birthday cakes and does an amazing job! I also love that he makes delicious ice cream, cookies, caramel apples, and can mix up a a mean smoothie. The list could go on and on! I love that one of the many reasons he enjoys baking is to see the enjoyment others have when they try it. I love that he always wants to share what he makes.

I love that he enjoys traveling with me and enjoys going on little trips just the two of us. I love that he enjoys people watching just as much as I do. I love that we never run out of things to talk about.
I love how he likes to surprise me. I cannot count how many times he has surprised me, and seems to know when I need it the most. Whether it is a little email in the middle of the day telling me how much he loves me or it is taking me to Little America for my 30th Birthday and spoiling me rotten. I love that he enjoys doing it almost as much as I enjoy receiving it.
I love seeing him with our kids. It makes me love him more than I ever thought possible

Kissing little Emily.

Cuddling with Brett
Snuggling with Savannah.
Some of the first hugs with Liam.
I love how he is a big goof ball and a huge tease. I love how he doesn't care what anyone thinks about him and is just available to make people smile and laugh. I love how I am a better person because he helps me remember that life is more fun when you laugh.
I love how he offers comfort and peace when the kids get hurt. I also love that he can give a Priesthood blessing to our kids when needed. He can give a hug to a little boy (Brett) when he re injured the same exact spot on his head at least 5 times when he was learning to walk. Or, he can hold Savannah when she was so very ill and give her comfort. I love that he also gave me comfort and hope at that time, even though he was scared too.
I love that he tells me I am beautiful and makes me feel beautiful. Whether I am 9 months pregnant or have been running after 4 kids all day and have no make up on.....and still in my jammies. Or if I get all dressed up for a work party.
I love that he worked hard to get his Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing from the University of Utah. Going to work full time and school was not easy, yet he never gave up. I loved watching him graduate, so proud of him.
I love that he loves the Oregon Coast. I love that he listened to me when I told him that I wanted to go there on our Honeymoon, even though he thought I was a bit crazy at the time. We have since been back many many times. I love that he likes Newport, "The stinky old fish town" :)

I love that he is so close to his family and to my family and that he believes that family is the most important thing.

I love this picture and how he has a special bond with each and every one of our kids. He wants nothing more than for them to be happy. I am so lucky and have enjoyed being married to him for the last 11 years. Love you Mike.

Liam is watching his siblings play in the snow. He was outside for a total of 5 minutes before he started crying because the snow is too cold.
Looking at me with his little car unimpressed. He cannot understand why he can't stay outside too. Yes, he only has one sock on. He always has one on and one off. Not sure why he likes this look, lol.
Emily, Brett and Savannah were attempting to build a ramp from the upper level to the lower. Surprisingly, they were able to make it work!
Poor baby, such is the life of a little one.....
