Halloween

We had a fun party at my parents house, everyone dressed up including the adults!  I was an 80's aerobics instructor.  So fun!  Wish I would have taken more pictures of everyone.

Carving pumpkins, everyone dived right in this year.  They still needed some help from Dad to get all of the "goo" but the kids did pretty good!

Savannah was Rapunzel, of course.  She makes an adorable one.  She just wishes I would have thought harder on our name choices when we decided to name her Savannah.  She really wishes we would have chosen Rapunzel.  Some how I think she will thank me in the future for not naming her Rapunzel :)
Emily was Snow White, her favorite Disney Princess.  She looked so cute.
Liam was a little Pirate!  Such a cute one!

Brett a knight in shining armor.  We had a great Halloween!  Lots of candy!  It was such a great night to walk around, I can't remember the last time a Halloween night was so warm!

Tough Mudder

Mike trained for and competed in Tough Mudder October of 2012.  It was a cold windy day but he did it!   All I can say is he is Crazy!!!  Watch the link below to see some of the insane things he did.  Good job Babe!

Emily's 10th Birthday

Emily turned 10 on October 2, 2010.  We had a family party and Mike made Emily a Harry Potter cake.  It turned out really awesome and Emily loved it.

Mike and I surprised her with a trip to see Il Volo in Seattle.  Mike had a business trip so Emily and I tagged along.  She was so cute when we woke her up that morning and told her we were taking her on a trip.
Mike had bought her a beautiful dress and backstage passes to see her favorite group, Il Volo.  They are an Italian singing group and if you haven't heard their music, look them up!  They are amazing.  Emily's favorite guy is the one with the suspenders in the picture.  His name is Gianluca, he gave her a kiss on her cheek.  Needless to say, she was pretty happy!

We did a lot of fun things the few days we were in Seattle.  We got special permission to tour the Brown and Haley plant since Mike supplies their boxes.  It was amazing to see how Almond Roca and all sorts of other yummy toffee is made.  We also found a ton of agates on the beach and saw so many beautiful things.  Most of all it was really neat to spend so much time just with Emily.  She is such an amazing kid and I am so lucky to be her mom.

Father and Sons Campout

When Mike was little his Dad started taking him and his brother on a Father and Son campout over Labor Day Weekend.  I love that this tradition has continued for so long and that Brett gets to spend time with his Dad, Grandpa and Uncle, and cousin.
Since it is over Labor Day there is always chance for bad weather and they did get a bit of it.
 So beautiful!
 Brett the wood chopper.
Brett with his Uncle Scott, Mike's older Brother.
 Kissing a fish, ewwww.....
I am so grateful for these two, I love them both so much.

Boise trip with Dad

We went to Boise Idaho with Mike on his business trip in August.  It was a lot of driving, park playing and pool swimming while he saw customers, we were even able to meet some of them.  Here is Liam on some farm equipment at a gas station along the way.
The highlight of the trip was going to Ann Morrison Park.  This is the most beautiful park I have ever seen!  It has tons of grassy areas for play, fountains, river swings etc.  We spent a lot of time here.

I love the sleeping pictures and we had plenty on this trip :)
 Fun night swimming!
 So beautiful.

 Fun on the swings!
I love these last two shots.  Mike kept doing under dogs with the kids, I loved the expressions on their faces and the giggles.
Only a couple of days but we loved spending time together.

BEAR LAKE

We went to Bear Lake with Mike's family in August, and had a great time!
The swings at the park are always a big hit.
My little girl is growing up way to fast, isn't she beautiful?
Mike had a good time throwing the football back and forth with his nephews.
We walked down to the Lake from the Park.  We didn't spend much time at the Lake this time around, since it was still pretty low there was a ton of mud.
We found an amazing place though that I am certain we will be going to again and again in the future.  Bloomington Lake.  It was absolutely amazing.  Gorgeous hike, beautiful Lake and a ton of fun.
Here we are about to start at the trail head.
It was only a mile hike, the scenery was beautiful and we passed two glacier lakes on the way to Bloomington Lake.

I loved all the beautiful wildflowers.
Bloomington Lake is a glacier Lake and even in the middle of August, it was FREEZING!  At one end of the lake is a giant tree that has a huge rope swing attached to it.  There were a ton of people there swinging from the rope and landing in the freezing water.  This did not sound at all appealing to me.  Mike, Emily and Brett however, gave it a shot.
They did amazing!  I am so impressed by their bravery :)  I loved watching them swing out, let go and swim back.
Just because he is so adorable :)
One crazy thing was all the cows we saw, yep you heard me.  Cows.
And more cows.  It was a great trip, look forward to next year!
