Oregon Vacation

We had such a great time in Oregon with my side of the family. I took a ton of pictures, and thought the best way to share them was on a Slide Show. If you want to read about each picture just point the mouse on the pic and a caption will appear. Thanks Mom and Dad for planning such a great trip!

Pirate Party!

Brett turned 5 on May 16th, I can't believe how big he is getting. Right now he is really into Pirates, so we planned a couple of Pirate parties!
My amazing husband made this cake, I think this is the best one yet. Brett was super impressed and kept saying over and over, "It is a really real pirate ship!"

The whole ship is made out of yummy chocolate cake with butter cream frosting.

We had our families over for a BBQ and then cake and ice cream. It was a really fun day.
We also had a friend Birthday Party for Brett, Pirate themed of course! I would love to say that I had part in all the cool decorations and planning, but Mike did it all. I don't know who was more excited for the party, him or Brett!
Our whole basement was decorated with balloons, pirate flags and of course Jack Sparrow! Pirate music was playing in the background too. Perfect for a party!
Brett loved the big banner outside, we kept it up for a few days! :)

I love this picture of Brett and Emma posing.

Some of the Pirate crew! When the boys arrived we gave each of them a sword, eye patch and a pirate bandanna to make them pirates. They loved it and for the first 1/2 hour of the party ran around chasing each other with swords.

The highlight of the party was Captain Redblood aka Mike. He dressed up as a pirate, spoke like a pirate and fought like one too! He had a sword fight with each of the boys and then read them a story about Pirates, the boys loved it! Thanks Mike for playing the part.
Pretty awesome pirate huh?
It was such a great party, complete with hot dogs and root beer for lunch, Pirate games, a scavenger hunt and even a treasure chest pinata. We all had a great time! Happy Birthday Brett!

Sunday Mornings

I have always loved Sunday mornings, especially with having church in the afternoon. It leaves time for lounging in jammies, morning walks and relaxing. Here are my three cute kiddos, I can't believe how big they are getting! Yes, they fight like normal siblings do but get along more often than not. This morning they were sitting on the couch laughing with each other and I just had to take a picture. I love them and I am so blessed to be their mother. On a side note only 70 more days until baby number 4 comes! Yep, I am now 30 weeks down, 10 more to go. We are getting really excited, but there is still a lot to get done. We still have not decided on a name for the little guy, and we need to get Savannah out of her crib and decide room arrangements. Plus, I still need to do a post of my getting larger every day pregnant tummy. I promise that will be the next post. :)

Easter Party

Every year we go to my Grandparents house for a Easter party. It is always a lot of fun. The kids love the Easter egg hunt. It was crazy this year how Emily and Brett just ran out so fast and found their eggs!
Savannah thought it was a lot of fun too!
It was cold, but at least it wasn't snowing! I think this is the first year we were all wearing coats for the egg hunt.
We also have a pinata every year. Savannah saw this cute chick on the table before he was strung up and kept giving him kisses. She was pretty upset when she saw people were hitting it! She would have no part of this animal cruelty.
Brett, on the other hand got right into it. This was the first year he was old enough to be blindfolded. He got a few really good hits in.
Emily had no fear, she went right in swinging!

Earlier that day we decorated Easter eggs. Emily was especially proud of the one she made with her name on it.

I was surprised that Brett kept asking if he could eat them, later that day he did. And he actually liked them! What a shock coming from the worlds pickiest eater!
I love this picture.

Savannah wasn't very interested in coloring the eggs, she just wanted to give each of them a kiss when they were done. By the end of the coloring process she had some pretty colorful lips! :)

Easter outfits

Since General Conference is this weekend, the kids dressed up in their Easter clothes this past Sunday. I think I took 20 shots of them, and these are the best of the batch. Pretty sad I can't get all three of them to look at me and smile......oh well! I don't even want to imagine how hard it will be with four!

Grandma Meeks

Yesterday we went to see my Great Grandma Meeks in the Assisted Living Center she is currently living in. Recently she moved here, leaving her beautiful cute little home in Midway. It was hard seeing her here and not in her home, but it is a really nice place and she seems happy. I am so lucky to have her, my Grandma Durtschi and my mom. They are all amazing women and I so look up to them. I feel so blessed to have them in my life and in my children's lives. Not many people can have a 5 generation picture!
Emily kept giving her hugs and kisses, we promised to visit again soon. Ok Mandi, this is the closest you are going to get to seeing me with my baby bump. I promise I will take more pics and post them soon!

Here is my cute sister Stef and her baby Cassidy in a 5 generation picture.
