Utah vs BYU

We took Mike's niece and nephew to the Utah/BYU game on Saturday. It was a blast, especially since the Utes won!
Ashley and Austin are twins, Ashley is the only Utah fan in her family who are huge cougar fans. Austin looks less than thrilled in all the pics due to the loss. But, he still had a good time going to the game.

All the fans storming the field.

I took this picture of Ashley shortly after we won :) Notice how she is wearing a short sleeved T-shirt. She had a sweater too, but had taken it off toward the end.

I, on the other hand am dressed like it is 20 below. It was freezing, but so worth it to sit in the cold stands watching the Utes take victory over BYU.

Mike was in Provo last year with his brother and nephews, after the win Mike told Austin, "I know exactly how you feel." BYU won last year and now it was our turn. Never a boring moment in the Holy War!

God bless Brandon Burton! What a finish! Both teams did a lot to win the game, both teams did a lot to lose. Refs screwed the pooch on more than just ONE call! Ever hear of the horse collar penalty? Eddie Wide was hurt bad on that horse collar play and it wasn't even considered. So, using BYU fan logic: Had we been given the 15 yard penalty on that drive we "probably", "most likely", or "for sure" would have achieved a game-winning score! Makes sense, doesn't it? :) And it seemed "poetic justice" had the Cougars in a perfect situation to win. However, the Utes (headed by Brandon Burton) reached forward and tore out the hearts of kitty fans everywhere! So, in fact, the Y WAS truly rewarded with poetic justice... thanks to the "vice" of Mr. Maxi Pad Hall! GO UTES! Mike

That looks like so much fun! The Utes winning makes it worth sitting in the cold! Your nephew was brave to go with you and sit among U fans!!!

I love how enthusiastically you guys follow the Utes. You all look fantastic. Your neice however is crazy, this is heavy coat weather not short sleeve weather. Ah to be young again.

Hello Neeley family,

I am a designer working for the University of Utah. We would like to use your photo of the fans rushing the field. It will be part of a promotional website for a new class starting Fall 2012. The purpose of the class is to study UofU football traditions and design events and experiences to boost school spirit.

If yes could we get any more info on the photo.

Thank you,

Amber
